Active Risk Management Program in Operating Rooms of Hospitals in Different Countries: A Scoping Review Study

Context: Risk management in hospitals is essential for improving healthcare quality. This study analyzed the characteristics of risk programs implemented operating rooms across countries worldwide. Evidence Acquisition: was a scoping review online database studies, including Web Knowledge, PubMed, Scopus, Cochrane, Springer, ProQuest, Iranian SID, and Magiran databases Google Scholar search engine. Three people independently performed selection, quality assessment, data extraction, analysis among studies that reviewed health systems those conducted outside system. Articles non-English languages (including Persian) were excluded. Results: A total 21 with similar purposes collection methods included. The classified into six main factors: Objectives, components, steps, results, prerequisites, facilitators programs, 35 sub-factors. Conclusions: conceptual framework any program should include at least objectives: eradication, safety promotion, improvement prevention reduction risks, component: Communication monitoring; steps: (1) Preoperative evaluation during (logging); (2) surgery; (3) post-surgery (logout); results: Achieving effective reducing errors; prerequisites: Human resource, knowledge information, such as use monitoring technologies error detection reporting room.
